Pee-Wee Soccer Info/FAQ |

Pee-Wee Soccer is for children who are at least 5 years and enrolled in kindergarten. Games are the
main emphasis in Pee-Wee whereas Soccer Squirts focuses on building soccer skills.
All 8 games will be held on Wednesdays at 6PM at the GCVSA Complex located behind Bryn Mawr Rehab.
The Pee-Wee fields are next to the center parking area in the complex.
The complete 8 game schedule will be posted on the website as will any rainout information.
Games will begin with 15 minutes of instruction, followed by 2 20 minute halves.
Each team will play with 4 players at a time - 1 goalie, 1 fullback and 2 strikers.
If both teams have full rosters, the coaches can decide to play 5 at a time.
One parent should volunteer to "referee" each game.
GCVSA forms teams according to siblings, schools and balancing genders. We make every attempt to
place kids with their schoolmates or with kids from their area. Late registrations will
be placed where there is space on a team.
Prior to the season opener, the coach will telephone to introduce him or herself.
The first night of Pee-Wee consists of meeting the coach, uniform handout and a 30 minute practice.
Players should come dressed to play soccer, with shin guards, water bottle and a size 3 ball.
GCVSA uniforms consist of socks, shorts and a jersey.
For each game, players are required to wear the uniform and shin guards. Players should bring a water
bottle and a size 3 soccer ball.
Cleats or turf shoes are recommended but not required. In colder weather, wear a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt
under the jersey.
Pee-Wee games are meant for fun, learning soccer and playing as a team. GCVSA does not
keep score during Pee-Wee games.
