January 31st is the deadline for Spring Soccer. June 30th is the deadline for Fall Soccer. The on time registration fee is $90/child. The late registration fee is $120/child. Because all games are at the same time, no carpool forms are accepted for Pee-Wee.Late Registrations
Late registrations will incur a $30 late fee and no special requests will be honored. Spring registrations received after March 10 or Fall registrations received after August 10th will be put on a waiting list. Please note that GCVSA will try to place every late registration on a team but we cannot guarantee placement. If your child is not placed on a team, you will receive a refund less a $25.00 administration fee. This refund will not be mailed until the second week of the season. Family Surcharge:
Once per GCVSA fiscal year, a family surcharge of $25 per family must be paid. The family surcharges covers all GCVSA Travel and Rec. soccer players in a family. The GCVSA fiscal year begins with fall soccer and ends after spring soccer. Processing Registrations:
GCVSA will not process your registration until a complete form and proper payment has been received. If the balance of payment arrives after the deadline, the registration is considered late. Please complete the forms properly, legibly and calculate your payment carefully. For Fall registrations, please put your child’s grade as will be for that Fall. Refunds
Refunds will be given for medical reasons only. The medical occurrence must have happened before the first game is played at the start of the season. Requests for a refund must be made in writing and be accompanied by a physician’s statement. A $25.00 processing fee will be assessed on the registration fee for all refunds processed. Start Dates and Season Length
Prior to the season, the official start date for Rec. soccer will be posted on GCVSA.org. Fall season usually starts the weekend after Labor Day and runs approximately 8 weeks. Spring season begins the first or second weekend in April, field conditions permitting, and runs approximately 8 weeks. The start and finish of the seasons are affected by the weather and the actual dates for Memorial Day and Labor Day. Rosters and Schedules
Parents can and should use the rosters page to find their child’s team and schedule. Depending on the age group, the coach may or may not contact players before the first game. Communication by Email
More and more, GCVSA and coaches use email instead of the phone. Please write your email address clearly and legibly on the form so that it is correctly given to the coach. Give us an address that you will check regularly. Coaches
We always need coaches so please consider volunteering. Soccer experience is not required – our only requirement is that you care about your child. We must have head coaches before we can form teams. All communication to our coaches is done through e-mail, please give us a correct e-mail address and check on a regular basis. DIRECTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE FORM
