#1 CELTIC!
After twenty intense training sessions that began on the frost covered middle school pitch in early March, and 7 fiercely competitive Cup games (4 win or walk), the hard work and commitment paid off on the plush pitch of the USTC on May 14th as the GCVSA U11 Celtic defeated the YMS Fusion in the Boys U11 D2 EPYSA State Cup final 3 -1. Though the team earned the right to be called "State Champion" only after winning that final, the bracket games, quarterfinal and semifinal were played with the same level of intensity and with the knowledge that a loss meant elimination. Every player on the team stepped up at critical moments throughout the 2 month competition, whether by tracking back to make a game saving tackle, disrupting the opposition's attack, finishing a scoring opportunity, making an unselfish pass or an off the ball run into space at just the right time or picking up a teammate! The team's motto was to "focus on what they could control (like showing up for practice, working hard, putting the team first) and not be distracted by things that they couldn't (the weather, the condition of the field, the quality of the opposing team)". Pictured below are: Stefan, Harrison, Shimon, Tim, Brendan, Cole, Julius, Niklas, Matt, Philip, Luke, Lucas, Todd, Matt and coach Fred.

#1 GATORS
The U14 Gators won their bracket in the 2011 Robert Urban Memorial Tournament by winning three competitive, hard-fought games. Every player contributed to the victory, and overall as a team, the Gators played their best soccer. Gators and guest players included: Marin B., Nicole B., Katie C., Becca C., Erin D., Ariah F., Marie G., Nicole L., Caity L., Ally M., Nicole P., Dana P., Carolyn R., Meaghan S., Katie V., Taylor W. Congratulations, Gators!!

SONIC BOOM IN QUAKERTOWN
U-12 Sonic Boom Champions at Quakertown Soccer Tournament. The girls went undefeated with two shut out wins and two ties - 2-2, 1-0, 3-0 and 1-1. Congratulations Girls! Maddie W, Kaitlin, Allison, Julia, Maggie, Sydney, Lindsay, Emily, Katie N, Meghan, Sarah, Maddie S, Alex, Katie P, Kelly, Coach Tomasz, Kelli, and Morgan.

INDOOR CYCLONES
The GCVSA boys U11 Cyclones were finalists in the Delco Leagues United indoor tournament at the Far Post. Our boys won their first four games (played from 5pm to 10pm) to make into championship game. At approximately 11:45pm, the buzzer sounded and we lost to Redding Rage 5-4 in a very close game (we were winning for about 80% of the game). We are very proud of the spirit, skill and determination our boys demonstrated - especially in light of the fact that we had no subs for the entire tournament.

CELTIC VICTORIOUS AT SOUTHAMPTON
After a successful DELCO League season, the boys U-11 Celtic closed out their fall season in spectacular fashion by winning the Southampton Soccer November Classic in Bucks County, PA on November 20. The team showed great character, work ethic and teamwork in defeating Council Rock 1-0 in a very exciting final game. To get to the final game, the boys placed first in their 3 team division that included HVAA, the Intercounty League undefeated third division champion, and YMS. Pictured below in their orange Championship T-shirts are Johnny, Matt, Matt, Niklas, Julius, Brendan, Stephan, Ben, Tim, Shimon, Billy, Conner, Matt and coach Fred. Missing from the picture are Zach, Philip, Tucker and Trainer Matt.

FC RANGERS CO-CHAMPS
After going 7-1-1 and taking first place during the regular season in the boys U-10 D2, the boys topped Rose Tree 2-0 in a hard fought semifinal on Saturday. On Sunday, the Rangers played a talented and well-coached Westmont squad for the title. After spotting Westmont a goal on a direct kick, the two teams battled to a 2-2 draw through regulation. While pressuring Westmont through two overtime periods, the stalwart Westmont defense did not bend. The two teams battled through two more overtime periods without a keeper, but the teams remained tied. As a result, the Rangers and Westmont were named co-champions. The boys had a super season capped by this honor. Congratulations: Logan, Chris, Evan, Clint, Chase, Rocco, Brendan, Matthew, Jaden, Austin, Thomas and Kellen from Coach Paul, Mark and Allan.
